This week, we’re shining a spotlight on the University of Kentucky

Location: Situated in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky, UK offers the best of both worlds—Southern hospitality with a vibrant city vibe. Known as the "Horse Capital of the World," Lexington is a unique blend of tradition, culture, and natural beauty, making it an incredible college town.

Athletics: The Wildcats are a powerhouse in the SEC, especially known for their storied men’s basketball program with multiple national championships. But there’s more—football, gymnastics, rifle, and men’s soccer are all on the rise. Under the leadership of Head Coach Johan Cedergren, UK Men's Soccer has become a national contender, consistently making NCAA tournament runs and developing top-tier talent. Whether it’s game day at Kroger Field or cheering on the Cats at the Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex, the Big Blue Nation shows up loud and proud.

Academics & Innovation: UK stands out for its strong programs in healthcare, engineering, business, and agriculture. As a flagship research institution, it’s a hub for innovation, offering students access to groundbreaking research, real-world experience, and a supportive academic community.
