Meet Callum

Growing up in Kincardine, Scotland – Callum found his love of golf at a young age, honing his skills at his local club Tulliallan where he made his way up through the junior ranks and onto competing in national championships. Eyeing a move to the States, he signed for FirstPoint USA who helped him secure a golf scholarship to the world-famous University of Mississippi, or “Ole Miss” as its fondly known.

Joining the Rebels’ golf team in 2002, Callum quickly set his sights on returning the school to its former glory, leading Ole Miss as the top-ranked golfer and taking the team to a first NCAA Championship appearance in over 8 years.

Following his graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2007, Callum returned home to Scotland to pursue his dream of making it in the professional golf scene.

He enjoyed a spectacular season in 2008, winning the Scottish Amateur Championship on the famed links of Carnoustie and etched his name in history by helping a three-man Scotland side to its first-ever victory in the World Amateur Team Championship to lift the Eisenhower Trophy in Australia, seeing off a strong USA side which included Rickie Fowler and Billy Horschel.

Later that year, Callum earned his European Tour card at the first attempt, coming through all three stages of Tour School Qualifying. The highlight of his debut professional season was a runner-up finish in the Madeira Islands Open, storming home in 29 in the final round.

After competing on the Challenge Tour followed by another season on the top tier in 2013, Callum took a break from competitive golf and made the switch to the business side of sport, joining FirstPoint USA as a sports consultant, where he now leads the team with a clear objective of giving back and helping other young prospective athletes follow their own dreams of securing a sports scholarship in the USA.
