Lacrosse Scholarships
Women’s Lacrosse is a very popular collegiate sport in the US. There are almost 600 universities with varsity lacrosse teams, giving talented lacrosse players very good scholarship opportunities. Just like it is the case with other traditional college sports, such as American football, basketball, or rowing, college lacrosse goes back many years and started more than 125 years ago.
While the number of foreign college lacrosse players remains low, university coaches do recruit worldwide and are always looking for special talents who might develop into great players over in America.

My son has started his USA rugby scholarship journey. In a very short space of time he’s had his first offer of interest. FirstPoint USA have been excellent - no waffle, straight talking about the reality of what happens and quick to respond to our queries.

Not all colleges that are eligible to offer scholarships will choose to do so. For example, Ivy League schools choose not to offer athletic scholarships. Women’s Lacrosse is an equivalency sport, which means all scholarships are not full scholarships, and coaches can divide the value of the scholarships available to them between as many players as they see fit. Full rides are very rare.
