Ask almost any intercollegiate player, past or present, and they’ll agree. Playing squash in college is a wonderful experience. Whether a student competes for a top team at a large university or learns to play at a small college, the friendships, camaraderie, practices, travel, and matches can make their college experience that much richer.
College squash is a winter sport with team rosters ranging in size from 10 to 20 players. In intercollegiate matches, colleges player their top ten players against their opponents top ten. Most college teams will play anywhere from 10 to 20 matches a year, mostly on weekends.
A squash scholarship can cover many, sometimes all, of the costs associated with earning a university degree. In return, the student-athlete will represent the university in their respective sport and maintain a good level of academic performance.
