Aspiring college soccer players will have the opportunity to learn from the experts with the launch of FirstPoint USA’s new season of webinars, designed to help athletes and their families build their knowledge of the college pathway.
Bringing in guest speakers from across college soccer, in addition to experienced staff members and former college players, the webinars will kick off on Wednesday, 25 September as we take a look at the differences between DI and DIII soccer programs.
We’ll be joined by University of North Alabama women’s soccer alum Susan Laing and former Amherst College goalkeeper for the first webinar, who will be discussing their experiences of playing in the two different divisions, balancing athletic and academic life, and giving their words od advice for those currently considering their recruiting options.
On Monday, 21 October, we’ll be in conversation with a leading DI coach, covering a variety of topics and giving talented players a flavour of what it takes to be recruited by a top program.
The next webinar takes place on Monday, 18 November, with the opportunity for players on the FirstPoint point program to ‘Meet the College Placement Team’ as we delve into their roles and find out more about what goes on behind the scenes.
And as we approach the holiday season, we’ll be delivering a live webinar on the all-important topic of the Transition to College Soccer, for players wanting to know more about the move from club or academy into university life, with some great advice from our panel of former players and coaches.
