Talented young footballers in Jamaica are set to benefit from an exciting new partnership between FirstPoint USA and the Mount Pleasant Academy, opening up the pathway to soccer college scholarships in the States.
The world’s leading sports scholarship agency are joining forces with the Jamaican football Academy and will be supporting players who are looking to develop their career by playing and studying in the States.
Formed in 2018 by Englishman Peter Gould and his wife Amanda, the Mount Pleasant Academy provides a unique environment to aspiring Caribbean footballers, marrying an appetite for sport with academic pursuits.e Academy’s first team are the reigning Jamaican premier league champions having won its first league title in 2023 while the Academy develops players from an early age, while offering an education curriculum.

The partnership will see FirstPoint USA staging assessment trials kicking off later this year, while providing guidance, advice and insights to Mount Pleasant Academy’s players and their families.
Among Mount Pleasant Academy’s other partners are Charlton Athletic Football Club, having recently announced a new strategic alliance with the London club.
