This year, FirstPoint USA’s Callan Low, returned to the prestigious #DENGTOP50 camp for the second time. Throughout the weekend-long camp Callan’s talents and abilities were put to the test, he emerged with an outstanding No. 10 ranking.
The UK residential camp invites the U19 Top 50 players in the UK to put their abilities to the test in a bid to be ranked the UK’s #1 known as #DENGTOP50. Each of the 50 players are hand selected by a consortium of coaches and basketball affiliates all over the UK where they will undergo a series of individual drills, combine testing, classroom analysis, strength and conditioning training and competitive games. The TOP 20 players then participate in an All-Star Game where the rankings continue throughout the season, with players competing to move up and down the leader board.
In addition to his successes at Deng Camp, Callan was selected to represent Team GB in the FIBA U18 European Championship, and was added to Myerscough Basketball Academy's European Youth Basketball League (EYBL) 2018-19 roster. Additionally, Callan represented Team Scotland at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games; at just 17 years of age, he was the youngest player in history to make the basketball team. With an incredibly successful year behind him so far, we're thoroughly looking forward to following Callan's future successes.
