- Where are you from and what's your sporting background?
I'm from South Africa. I grow up playing sports all my life since primary school. I always want to be the best and always strive to be the best in all sports that I played or took part in when I was in school. I played
Hockey, Netball,
Track and field,
basketball, indoor hockey and
tennis. I was in the first team for all the sports that I played.
- Why have you decided to attend a University in the States?
I have decided to attend university in the states because I love the way USA varsities take their sports seriously and I believe by me coming there then I can get all the expertise that I need to take my sports to the next level and become a professional athlete.
- What were the key factors that impacted your decision to choose Charleston?
I choose
The University of Charleston because of their facilities and they would better accommodate the course I am doing here and it would be easier to transfer.
- How excited are you to spend the next few years in the States?
I don't think I can explain how excited I am to spend the next few years in US. I am very excited but nervous at the same time.
- How did you find the scholarship process?
This scholarship process has been very exciting but nerve racking at the same time. At some point I lost some hope in me getting a
scholarship because it can be a long process, but I trusted in the Lord and prayed everyday and I finally got more offers than I expected!
