Field Hockey is one of the few sports in the NCAA which are exclusive to women. Competition is fierce for women's field hockey scholarships in America, as there is around 264 NCAA field hockey programs in the United States. Scholarships for field hockey are most prevalent in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions of the USA. For NCAA Division I, there are 12 field hockey scholarships available per team. In Division II, there are 6.3 field hockey scholarships per team.
