How to get discovered by college coaches
Getting noticed by coaches and navigating the scholarship journey can be a daunting experience for athletes and their families. We are here to help.
Coaches from Harvard to UCLA use the knowledge and expertise of FirstPoint’s College Scouting Staff as well as the pioneering technology of FirstPoint’s Recruitment Platform to find athletes and advertise roster openings.
Our expert team have over 20 years experience in guiding families through the scholarship process.
The Process
1. Create a Free Profile
Get noticed by college coaches by building your athletic and academic profile, including sporting achievements, grades and performance footage
2. Search for Colleges
We have a vast network of more than 2,000 colleges and universities at all levels, providing all the information you need to find the right fit for you
3. Attend A Trial or Athlete Evaluation
We run College ID trials at venues across the world offering you the opportunity to be assessed by our team of coaches, or you can send us your match footage
4. Progress to an Interview
If you are successful at our trial or your footage is passed by our assessment team, you’ll be invited to an interview (with a parent or guardian) to determine your eligibility to become a FirstPoint athlete
5. Commence Your Pathway to College
Your dedicated college placement manager will guide you through the full college recruitment journey, targeting a shortlist of best fit colleges before working making your final decision
6. Commit to Your Dream College
The final stage! We’ll help you dot the I’s and cross the T’s to secure your deal and set you on your way to a life-changing college experience…
